James Walter Roberts

James Walter Roberts, age 78 passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital on March 10, 2016 in Maryville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Blanche Roberts of Pine Hall, NC; loving wife, Ursula Charlotte Roberts; son-in-law, Robert Wayne Wheeler. Survived by his daughters, JoAnn (Raef) Mikhail of Fairborn, OH; Vicki Lyn (Steve) Smith of Reynoldsburg, OH; Denise Renee Roberts of Blacklick, OH; stepdaughter, Kristina (Philip) Bolcar of Hendersonville, TN; stepson, Kenneth (Martha) Wagenbrenner of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Brent (Mahala) Wheeler, Tara Roberts, Kristi Michael, Brandee Smith; step-grandchildren, Jason and Arianna Wagenbrenner, Erika Bolcar; great-granddaughters Khloe Roberts, Lilliana Wheeler and many dear friends. He is retired Air Force veteran of 23 years with a tour in Vietnam and stationed at multiple bases around the world. Followed by another 20 years of dedicated service with Kroger’s as a Security Officer. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. After his retirement from Kroger he moved to Tennessee where he enjoyed watching NASCAR on Sunday’s, piddling in the yard, and venturing through Cades Cove. Family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Smith West Chapel. Celebration of Jim’s Life will follow at 2:00 PM with Celebrant Chris LaRue officaiting.
