James "Thunder" Roberts

James Michael (Thunder) Roberts age 48 of Townsend went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 4, 2013. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Townsend. He had a beautiful voice and enjoyed all kinds of music. Thunder was a very giving and caring man who loved the Lord. He enjoyed coaching his children in sports. He will be remembered as being a great husband, father, son, brother and friend. Preceded in death by: Father, James Henry Roberts. Survivors include: Wife of 19 years, Connie Horner Roberts; Daughters, Kenda Leigh Roberts and Marietta Caroline Roberts; Sons, James Taylor (J.T.) Roberts and Michael Tate Roberts; Mother, June Roberts; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Jeff & Emily Roberts and Jack & Lisa Roberts; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Marcus Kelley officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Caylor's Chapel Church Cemetery.
