James Denzil Moulton Sr. died in Marietta on Saturday, Nov. 16. James was born 2/18/1924 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Son of Denzil William Moulton and Carolyn Elizabeth Witt. A WWII veteran, James served in the Air Force as a P-47 fighter pilot over Germany. A UT graduate, he was a CPA, partner of A.M. Pullen, later McGladrey & Pullen. Member of Bearden United Methodist for many years, serving as treasurer. After retiring and moving to Maryville, he continued to serve the church working as treasurer for Fairview United Methodist. Survived by children of his first wife: Dorothy Pedigo, James D. Moulton, Jr. and Mary Childress; grandchildren Lauren Schriver Childress, Duane William Moulton and his children Kelsi and Taylor Baker, Gabriel William Moulton, and great-great grandchild Wesley Ulrich. Preceded in death by his wife Nina. Survived by son Edward C. (Nora) Moulton, their daughters Kimberly Jean and Amy Elizabeth.
