James "Darrell" Morris

James Darrell Morris, age 76 of Alcoa, TN passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Darrell was a member of RIO Central Church and an avid antique picker and enjoyed going to auctions. He volunteered for the Senior Outreach Program and was a real “people-person.” He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Darrell was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a loving and caring person. He is preceded by his parents, YJ and Oca Morris; brothers, Billy and Vernon Morris; sister, Willa “Dean” Judd. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Gibson (JH); son, Keith Morris; grandchildren, Tyler Gibson (Emily), Brett Gibson (Becky), Jacob Gibson, Lucas Gibson, Rhai-Lee Morris; great-grandchildren, Declan Gibson, Amelia Gibson. The family would like to thank special caregiver Susan Wilson for her unwavering kindness, gentleness, and genuine friendship she showed to Darrell. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Ronnie Hepperly.
