James “Jim�? Wallace Johnston, age 65, of Walland, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at the family home. Jim was employed for 37 ½ years for Howden-Buffalo in Dearborn, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Bertha Holt Johnston; brothers, Ray L. Johnston, Winfred Johnston; sisters, Sarah Douglas and Fannie Mundy; He is survived by his wife, Jenny Crye Johnston of Walland; son and daughters-in-law, Daniel Johnston and wife Stacy; granddaughters Abbey and Megan; son, Steven Johnston and wife Wrenn of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Earl Johnston of Maryville; sisters, Virginian Purkey of Louisville, Mary Ann Johnston, Sue Hollander, Nancy Merlino and husband John all of Michigan, Effie Fisher and husband Vic of North Carolina; mother-in-law, Bonnie Cry of Maryville; many other nieces and nephews and cousins. Family and friends will assemble for Graveside service and entombment on Monday July 5, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery mausoleum chapel with Rev. Toby Downey officiating.
