James Houk

James Thomas Houk, age 77, of Maryville, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Asbury Place of Maryville. He attended East Maryville Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Marine Corp Reserves, and member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club, A World Changers Volunteer and former business owner. He was a 32nd Degreed Mason with membership at the Rockford Lodge F&AM # 469 and volunteer with the Blount Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wilson and Augusta Houk; Sisters, Dorothy Houk, Ruby Sullivan; Brothers, Harold Houk and Charles Houk. Survivors include his children, Linda and husband, Tony Price and Tom and wife, Brenda Houk all of Maryville; Grandchildren; Adam Houk, Ashley Calderon, Malina Orick, and Caitlyn Houk; Brothers and Sister-in-law, Fred Houk of Friendsville and Grady and Dean Houk of Maryville; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and David Livengood of Peru, In., Faye Lane of Maryville, and Doris and Earl Jett of Rockford; Sister-in-laws, Ruth Houk and Delia Houk, both of Maryville; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at East Maryville Baptist Church for the Interment service.
