James “Peg Leg” Green, born on August 6, 1947, in the small, welcoming town of Maryville, left us with a heart full of cherished memories on November 14, 2024. James was a truly remarkable character, balancing his comedic charm with a dedication to hard work and an unwavering love for his family. James spent two valuable, noble years serving in the Army. His time in the service was a mere glimpse of the discipline and dedication that shaped a life punctuated by laughter and devotion to those he loved. As a Christian, James found solace and strength in his faith, which guided him through life's beautiful, unpredictable journey. Those who knew James fondly remember him as a funny, hard-working man whose love for his family was unparalleled. Sadly, James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa. Yet, despite these profound losses, James continued to radiate humor and strength, touching the lives of all who crossed his path. We'll come together to honor and celebrate James's life at a graveside service held at Grandview Cemetery on Saturday, November 23rd, at 11 AM. We look forward to sharing stories, shedding tears, and hopefully even a laugh or two, just as Peg Leg would have wanted.
