James Robert Garland

James Robert Garland age 67 of Maryville died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospice. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Jacqueline P. Garland; Father Fred Garland; Sister, Eddie Virginia. Survivors include wife Janice Hightower Garland; Children James G. Garland II, Virginia JoAnn (Jodi), and Jessica Leigh all of Knoxville; Mother, Frances Garland; Brother Chris Garland of Knoxville; Sister Francis K. Hensley of Oak Ridge; Grandchildren, Christian and Garrett James Garland. If you have an old car please drive it to the service to give Jim his "field of dreams". Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2330 Chesterfield Drive, Maryville, TN 37803.
