James Raymond Everett, Sr.

July 30, 1929 — February 25, 2014

James Raymond Everett Sr. age 84 of Walland went home to be with His Lord, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a retired mail carrier with the United States Postal Service in Walland. Raymond was a member of Piney Level Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War in 1951 where he helped Roy Crawford when he was in need. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, John Mose Everett and Rachel Cora Everett; Brothers, Rev. Roy Everett, Max Everett, Hugh Everett, and Owen Everett; Son, John Everett. Survivors include: Loving and Devoted Wife of 60 years on July 2, Faye Everett; Son & Daughter-in-law, Jim & Lori Everett of Maryville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Sandy & Ron Johnson of Seymour; Grandson and Light of His Life, Conner James Everett; Step Grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Lauren & Tony Longmire, and Claire Niedzwiedski; Special extended family, Sarah Blevens. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. George Macht and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at West Miller's Cove Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Inman officiating.
