James Moore Dunn, Jr. (Jim) age 70 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. He was a graduate of Alcoa High School Class of 1958, where he played basketball in 1957 and 1958. Jim was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where he also played basketball under Coach Ed Diddle. After college he moved to Columbus, IN where he and his wife Betty raised their family. Upon retirement, he returned to Maryville in 2005. Jim was well known for his cheerful personality and sense of humor. Preceded in death by: Mother, Louise Cooley Dunn; Father, James Dunn, Sr.; Mother of his children, Betty Streeval Dunn. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Mike & Robin Dunn of Columbus, IN; Daughter & Son-in-law, Jamie & Kurt Ball of Noblesville, IN; Grandchildren, Madison Dunn, Carter Ball, and Tatum Ball; Sister & Brother-in-law, Mimi & Sam McIllwain of Hendersonville, TN; Nephew and Niece, David McIllwain and Amy McIllwain Brown; and many special friends. Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Judge David Duggan and Rev. Henry Linginfelter officiating.
