James Harold Deakins

James Harold Deakins age 88 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He retired from ALCOA after 38 years of service and was a member of their 25 Year Club. James was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Athens, TN. He was a plumber and electrician. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Karen; Son, David; Parents, Hugh & Lottie Deakins. Survivors include: Wife of 51 years, Eva Jo Deakins; Son & Daughter-in-law, Tim & Melissa Deakins; Son, Scott Deakins; Daughter & Son-in-law, Kim & Jason Roberts; Grandchildren, Summer Muse & Fiancée Steven Bryant, Ethan Deakins, and Bryce Roberts; Great-Granddaughter, Sariah Bryant; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Glen Cummings officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Piney Grove Cemetery in Tellico Plains.
