James "Jay" Colvin age 42 of Louisville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He worked at the Blount County Sheriff's Office as a Patrol Officer and was a former member of the Blount County SWAT Team and served on the Drug Task Force for two years. Jay graduated from William Blount High School and was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by: Father, James Colvin II; Grandparents, Erskin & Edna Hicks and Jim & Mary Colvin. Survivors include: Wife, Christina Colvin; Mother, Judy Rogers; Aunts & Uncles, Kenneth & Sandy Hicks & Martha & Al Farner; Special cousin, Steven Hicks; Special friend, Darren Sheety; Special Stand-in Son, William Wiwczaroski; and a host of special friends. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Friday, May 10, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Brooky Gray and Rev. Ernest Condee officiating.
