James Edward Bowman, Jr.

James Edward Bowman, Jr. age 45 of Maryville passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was a graduate of North Marion High School in Farmington, WV and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a City of Alcoa Police Officer. He was a dedicated Dad, brother, son, and friend. Ed was preceded in death by his father, James E. Bowman, Sr.; mother, Vivian Bowman Ashcraft; sister, Officer Lehale Rice; grandmother, Rosemary Humphrey. Survivors include his daughter, Cheyenne Bowman; girlfriend, Sherry Casey; "bonus" children, Keenan Brackins and Sydney Millsaps; sisters, Anita Harler and Jamie Daugherty; many nieces and nephews, and mother of his child, Alondra Bowman. The family would like to express a special thank you to the City of Alcoa Police Department, City of Maryville Police Department, Blount County Sherriff's Office and Rural Metro personnel for their support of the family. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
