Jackson Lewis Greenway age 85 of Alcoa, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the family home. He was a 1st Lt. Air Force Pilot and a World War II Veteran. He served as a Deacon at Broadway Baptist Church and taught Sunday School Classes. He retired from National Cash Register Company after 39 years as a Service Technician. Preceded in death by: Parents, Jasper & Belle Greenway. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Juanita Greenway; Son and Daughter-in-law, Jackie & Cherie Greenway of Maryville; Daughter and Son-in-law, Marsha & Brent Hammonds of Maryville; Grandchildren, Phillip & Christy Newman and Jason & Sarah Greenway; Great-Grandchildren, Reagan Newman and Jackson Greenway; Step-Grandsons, Craig Hammonds and David Hammonds; Brother, Kenneth Greenway of Knoxville; Sister, Myrtrude Allen of Cookeville; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Bob Brown officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
