Jackie "Jack" Lynn Vaughn, 69, of Cookeville entered his heavenly home February 5, 2019. He was surrounded with much love and family at his residence. Jack endured Lewy-Body Dementia. Graveside Services for Jackie "Jack" Lynn Vaughn is planned at Forest Hills Cemetery Maryville, TN on February 17, 2019 at 3:00pm (eastern). Originally from Maryville, he and his wife have lived in Cookeville for 31 years. He is survived by wife Janell Vaughn, two daughters Jenna Vaughn whom she is the caregiver for Mark Mcae of Cookeville, and Jaclynn Vaughn and Marc Johnson and his son Justin of Baxter, son Jason Vaughn of Cookeville, stepdaughter LeAnne of Maryville, faithful people dog Jesie and 7 granddogs. Two sisters Mary McDonald, husband Glenn of Maryville, Faye Whitehead, husband Bud of Tellico Village, brother Leroy Vaughn, wife Sharon of Walland, brother-in-law Alex Becker, wife Judy of Baxter, sister-in-law Debbie Caughorn, husband Jim of Nashville. Special Uncle Harvey Sellers of Sevierville. Nieces Michelle, Leah and Linda. Nephews Steve, Brian, and Jeff. Cousins Lillie Mae, Jane, Carol and many more great nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by parents Walter Vaughn Jr. and Ada P.Sellers Vaughn, brother Raymond Sellers and nephew Mike Sellers all of Maryville. Jack will be remembered and loved as a fair, honest, hardworking, generous, family man. His wife and children were his crown, he was blessed. He loved doing things for others, a bit of a Prankster, and possibly stubborn. He was of Pentecostal Faith. Jack wore many hats over the years starting a business with his father Jr. and managing several full service stations. He opened a floor covering business serving large malls, homeowners, and businesses. A flood destroyed his inventory - closing, he accepted a position with Electrolux Knoxville meeting his best friend Brian Carraway whom taught him how to make a good living and have fun too. He later transferred to Cookeville store manager worked for many years until company buyouts. Jack joined Stovers Wholesale producing record sales in hardwood and tile. He loved sales; building their confidence and friendships. Abe McCall offered him a position in Carthage over the floor covering and eventually the gun store, had special friends Cindy and Bobby. He worked 18 years and retired 2014. His hobbies include guns, home improvement projects, landscaping, and yard work. He took pride in his Cub Cadet tractor and would mow for hours. He enjoyed camping and fellowship at Deer Run RV Resort, Crossville. ‘PEACEFUL PLACE TO REST’ Jack (Jackie) will be missed by all. Grow in Grace, Serve the Lord.
