Jack H. Parker age 78 of Maryville passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center from complications of a farm accident. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from The Daily Times after 45 years of service. Preceded in death by: Parents, C.H. & Rena Parker; Brothers, Charles & Henry Parker. Survivors include: Wife, Carolyn Black Parker; Sons, Johnny Ross & Erick Parker; Daughters, Lisa Parker and Tammy Hembree-McIntosh; Four Grandchildren; Four Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Jean Whiting and Merle Stair; Special friends, Bud, Cedric and Ace. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Ward, Nathan Reagan, Joe McIntosh, Micky Stallans, Sam Hembree, and Mychal Hembree. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Monday, June 14, 2010 at Smith Trinity Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM conducted by Rev. George R. Macht. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
