Jack Johnson, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Maryville Thursday morning. He was born in Bell County, Kentucky, the son of Lee Avery and Edna Smith Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of WWII (U.S. Navy) and worked at the DOE Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge for 30 years. He is survived by Willa Dean, his wife of 69 years, his son Kyle Johnson (daughter-in-law Suzi), daughter Katherine Johnson (son-in-law Gary Lilly), grandsons Bradley Johnson (wife Michele) and Adam Cofer (wife Tiffany), granddaughters Becky Shipp and Kirsten Shipp, great-granddaughters Kylie Johnson, Hannah Hatmaker, Emma Shipp, and Abby Dean Cofer, and great-grandson Ford Cofer. The family would like to thank Blount Memorial Hospice Services and the staff of MorningView Village for their exceptional care and assistance.
