Jack Edwin Poe, age 79, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Jim and Jessie Poe, brothers, Frank, Cecil, Ernest, Billy, John, and Pete Poe; sister, Pauline Orr; Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Lillie Poe; daughter and son-in-law, Sammie and Donnie Garner of Maryville; son, Wade Poe of Maryville; 2 granddaughters, Michelle Cumming of Maryville and Tonya McDonald of Vonore; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Scott Potter officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery.
