Jack G. Chambers age 86 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at Asbury Place of Maryville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Alcoa and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. with 45 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Jacqueline Chambers; Sisters, Hilda Baker and Margaret Larue; Brother, Jim Chambers. Survivors include: Wife of 61 years, Bessie Harris Chambers; Son & Daughter-in-law, Freddie & Tressia Chambers of Greenback; Daughter & Son-in-law, Debbie & Robert "Bob" Ryan of Friendsville; Grandchildren, Jennifer Ryan, Morgan Chambers, Catherine Anderson; Brothers, Andrew Chambers of Maryville and Charles Chambers of Alcoa; Sister, Betty Ashe of MS; Special friend, Donna Standridge; Sister-in-law, Geraldine Murphy; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Freeman Tomlin officiating.
