Ivean Thelma Messer Pack

Ivean Thelma Messer Pack,  age 88 of Maryville, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2023 at her home. Ivean was born October 27, 1934 to Zeb Virgil and Viola McFalls Messer. She lived in Newport, TN through her early childhood, until the family moved north. She became a big sister to Robert Virgil Messer in 1943. She married James T. Bowen and had two children, Virgil Alan Bowen and Vivian Ann Bowen. In 1966 she and her children moved back to Powell, TN. She worked for 34 years at Levi Strauss, starting as a sewing machine operator up through to training supervisor. She married the love of her life, Carl Eugene Pack in 1986. She went to be with our Lord on June 11. She is preceded by her parents; husband of 33 years, Carl Pack; son, Virgil Bowen; half-sister Mae Laura Cobb; half-brother, McKinley Messer. Survivors include daughter, Vivian Costello; granddaughter, Allison Brownlow; brother, Robert Messer. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Smith’s Trinity Chapel with a service to follow.
