Iva P. Wilson, age 100, of Maryville, formerly of Gatlinburg, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014. Iva was a longtime member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and was an original resident of Elkmont prior to its status as a National Park. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Wilson; granddaughter, Kathy Hayes; son-in-laws, Ralph Hayes of Maryville, and Tom Colvard of Gatlinburg; 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Survivors include her Daughters, Johnie Hayes of Maryville, and Dorothy Colvard of Gatlinburg. grandchildren, Mark Hayes and Greg & Kim Hayes of Maryville, Libby Latham of Gatlinburg and fiancé, Jim Murphy of Powell, Jane and Tom Eisaman of Gatlinburg; great grandchildren, Jimmy Webb III of Chattanooga, and Bracken and Breanna Scott; sisters, Louise White and Maxine Nick, both of Dalton, Ga; many nieces, nephews, and other family also survive. A Celebration of Iva's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Raymond Burnette officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Iva's honor to Avalon Hospice, 192B Marketplace Blvd., Knoxville, TN 37922 or to your favorite Church.
