Irma L. Tulloch

Irma L. Clark Tulloch of Maryville, TN, passed away March 27 at the age of 91. Blessed with a loving spirit and beautiful soul, she was a delight to all who met her. Born on December 27, 1925 to French and O.L. Clark, Mrs. Tulloch was raised in Maryville and spent her life there. She was a Friendsville High School grad and proud alumnus. She worked for ALCOA, was a loving mother, grandmother, sister & aunt, and was an eager community & church volunteer. She relocated briefly to Lafayette, TN after her husband passed away but always considered Maryville home. Her greatest joy was time with family and celebrations with her extended family and friends. Mrs. Tulloch was a longtime and active member of United Methodist Women and Binfield United Methodist Church. She was known for her gentle and loving nature and kindness to all. Her hobbies included reading and spending time with her beloved Corgi and best friend, Molly. She adored and was married to her husband G.B. Tulloch for 49 years before his death in 2002. She is also preceded in death by her parents O.L. & French Clark and brother, Bob Clark. She had boundless love for her two daughters and their families: Rebecca Tulloch-Bowman and husband, Dennis, Atlanta, GA; Martha Doss and husband Barry, Lafayette, TN. Grandchildren Chloe F. Bowman, Nicholas C. Bowman, Elijah R. Doss, Jacob C. Doss, Lydia M. Doss. She is also survived by sister Inez Turner, Knoxville; brother Kenneth Clark, Sweetwater, TN; sister-in-law Christine Clark, Louisville, TN; sister-in-law Thelma Waters, Maryville; 16 nieces & nephews; numerous great nieces & nephews; and a host of treasured friends. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Sunday April 2, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm. Following the service family and friends will depart for interment at Carpenter’s Campground Methodist Church Cemetery.
