Irene "Dolly" Williamson Hatcher, age 81, an angel entered Glory when our Heavenly Father called His faithful servant "Dolly" home on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. She left behind a weathered vessel in exchange for a glorified body, free of suffering. Faith in God sustained her, and she considered her greatest achievement to be her children. Known for her perseverance and selflessness, she was an inspiration to all who knew her. As owner of Dolly's restaurant and former cook at Brookhaven Farms, she fed the masses with her delicious cooking and was a mother to all. She was most known for her chocolate gravy, and her coconut and chocolate pies. Preceded in death by parents Jacob and Della Bennett Williamson, husband, Joe Hatcher; daughters: Lorna Norwood, and Debbie Hatcher; siblings: Dorothy Gamble, Rhoda Maner, Tommy Williamson, and Sallie Crum. She leaves behind her grieving family: son Benny (Judy) Hatcher, daughters Jo Ann (Robbie) Sims, Betty Lou (Mark) Plymale, Judy (Walt) Snow, Tammie Cole, and son-in-law, Jim Norwood; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Surviving brothers John, Ed, and Everett Williamson and sister, Cora Wood. Special friends, Bobbie Tipton, Deloris Alexander, Pam Ford, and many others, too many to name, who called her mother.
