Ion Wainwright

Ion “Curly” Wainwright age 82 of Maryville passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Curly was a Korean War Navy Veteran, 50 year member of New Providence Lodge #128, Past Master of Prudentia Lodge #719, Rockford Lodge #469, and 32 degree KCCH Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Fremasonry. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and retired from Federal Aviation Administration. Preceded in death by: parents, Jack & Marie Wainwright; brothers, Jack and Roy. Survivors include: wife of 60 years, Sarah Wainwright; daughters and sons-in-law, Shay & David Hause and Carol & Doug Kreager; son & daughters-in-law, Keith & Erin Wainwright; Grandchildren, Bobby & Leslie Hause, Katherine Blazer, Mallory & Parker Wainwright, Tony & Kaitlyn Kreager, Laura & John Raymond Hehn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Lexington, KY. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Long officiating.
