Ina Jo Lawson

Ina Jo Lawson age 75 passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center Maryville, (MHC). Survived by husband Robert G. Lawson (Bob). Jo fought a courageous battle against Alzheimer's since 2008 and finally a severe stroke in August 2011 left damage beyond recovery. Jo is the daughter of Effie and Cledon Pass; Sisters, Imogene, Glenda and survived by sister, Bernice. Jo moved to Michigan soon after graduation from Friendsville High School in 1953. She met and married husband Bill McCuan on October 19, 1957. Soon after moving to Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Jo and Bill had three boys named William Joel, married to Teresa, they have 5 children and 3 grand-children and reside in Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Richard Joseph, married to Pam, they have 3 children and 1 grandchild and reside in Frisco, TX; Patrick John, married to Bettyrae, they have 2 children and reside in Cuyahoga Falls, OH; Two stepsons, David Lawson, married Paula, they have 1 child and 2 grandchildren and reside in Knoxville, TN and Robert C. Lawson, married to Tera and reside in Johnson City, TN. Jo worked at Montgomery Wards for 17 years in Cuyahoga Falls before the store closed. She moved back to the Maryville area in 1986 and worked for 14 years at Alcoa Extended Day Care Center. Bob and Jo traveled extensively after retirement. Jo will surely be missed by all who knew her. I want to thank Keith Mandrell, Director and his entire staff at MHC for the utmost attention and very professional assistance during our stay. Thanks also to Andrea (ARNP), and all personnel on north wing---super team for sure. The REHAB personnel are truly professional. Jo loved each of you. Thanks also to the house keepers and cleaners. They were always working to keep everything clean and shining---real good job. Last but not least, thanks to our friends and neighbors at Regal Towers. We love you. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gary Stinnett and Evan Butcher officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Friends Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
