Imogene Teffeteller

Imogene Teffeteller of Maryville passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at the age of 85 at Morning View Transitional Care. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. 

She is survived by her husband, Don, daughters Melanie (Danny) Knouff of Maryville, and Donna (Dennis) Neal of Blairsville, GA; grandsons Matthew (Emma) Neal of Nashville and Christopher (Jennifer) Neal of Knoxville, Jeremy (Mandy) Knouff, Kevin (Charissa) Knouff, and Ryan (Brittany) Knouff all of Maryville, granddaughter Molly (Cory) Mason of Maryville, and great-granddaughter Scarlett Mason of Maryville, sisters-in-law Edith Teffeteller and Edica McCulloch Jones, brother-in-law and wife Kenneth and Roselle Teffeteller, brother-in-law Larry Teffeteller, and several nieces and nephews. Imogene also leaves behind several close friends. 

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Carrie McCulloch, brothers James and Raymond McCulloch, brother and sister-in-law Bob and Mary Lee McCulloch, brothers-in-law and their wives Eldredge and Frances Teffeteller, Raymond and Ernestine Teffeteller, Mayford and Jewel Teffeteller, JC Teffeteller, Lindell Teffeteller, and sister-in-law Jo Teffeteller. 

Imogene retired after twenty-seven years from Maryville Orthopedic Clinic where she served as the insurance clerk. She is a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she has taught children’s classes and worked Vacation Bible School. 

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at Morning View Transitional Care who lovingly cared for her during her extended illness. 

The family will receive friends at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:00 with funeral service led by Tim Fleeger at 2:30 and burial at 3:00 at Grandview Cemetery.
