Ila Palmer

Ila Kathern Valentine (Ridge) Palmer age 61, went to be with Jesus August 11, 2009. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. She was a member of Birchfield Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Parents, Bill & Hazel Valentine; Daughter, Sonya Kay Ridge; Brother, Roy Lee Valentine; Granddaughter, Shawna Heather Ridge; Half sister, Gladys Boltz; and special pet “Boo.�? She leaves behind: Loving Husband, Ron Palmer; Special Pet, “Her Baby Buddy;�? Son, Bruce Ridge & wife Angie; Daughter, Gina Parks & husband Kevin; Stepsons, Bo & Steven Palmer; Grandchildren, Amanda Mesnard, B.J. Ridge & Kody Parks; Step Grandchildren, Corey & Alex Palmer; Great-Grandchildren, Alyssa Summey, Brooke Mesnard, Hayden & Schuyler Ridge; Niece, Melissa Valentine; Nephew, Reggie Stanford & wife Brenda; Special Sisters-in-law, Joyce Ridge & Debbie Lay. Thanks to friends and special staff on 5 East at Blount Memorial Hospital. Family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 PM, Friday, August 14, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:30 PM with Rev. Jason Brackin and Rev. Toby Downey officiating. Interment will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Four Mile Church Cemetery.
