Dr. Hugh R. Brown Jr.

Dr. Hugh R. Brown, Jr., formerly of Maryville, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019. He was a servant of America, U.S. Army 22 years, retired Lieutenant Colonel in 1976. He was a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and Pastor for two churches in North Carolina for 17 years. Hugh was educated at Wofford University, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and received his doctorate of Theology from Southern Baptist Center for Biblical Studies. Survivors include his wife Anita Brown; son, David and wife Lori, son Bill and wife Glenda; as well as two grandsons and a granddaughter. Siblings include his brothers, George and Edward; sister, Carolyn. The family will receive friends from 12pm until 2:00pm Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Raymond Burnett officiating. Entombment will be 3:00pm Tuesday at Grandview Mausoleum.
