Hoyt Elmo Talbott

Hoyt E. Talbott age 81 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his home, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born June 12, 1929 and graduated from Porter high School. Hoyt served in the United States Air Force and retired from ALCOA after 32 years of service. He was also a part-time farmer who loved driving his tractors and taking care of his cattle. He was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church for 70 years. Preceded in death by: Parents, Charles & Murtice Talbott; Brother, Kenneth Talbott. Survivors include: Wife of 61 years, Ruth Talbott; Son, Jimmy Talbott & wife Kay; Daughter, Darlene Parton & husband Charlie; Grandchildren, Adam & Nikki Parton, Amy & Dave Allen, Kasey & Layne Talbott, and Bryan Talbott; Great-Grandchildren, Isabel, Mia, and J.T. Allen and Reese Parton; Brother, Ben Talbott of Charlotte, NC; Sisters, Edna Kidd of Knoxville, Jane Plumlee of Chattanooga, Louise Everett of Maryville, Grace Early of Denver, CO, and Barbara Burns of Talbott, TN; Special Caregivers, Francis Williams, Bonnie Kirtley, Toni Doody, Carolyn Parton, James & Lena Simerly, Tom Berrong, Herb Carringer, and Jim & Ann Vest. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011 at East Maryville Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev. Doug Plumlee officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 29, 2011 at East Maryville Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
