Howard Whitehead

Howard Whitehead, Jr., age 81 of Maryville, TN passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He began his truck driving career with Clell Cable at the age of 19 years old and retired from Serviceway Motor Freight after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was preceded by his parents, Howard & Alice Chapman Whitehead; nephew, Douglas A. Hicks. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Norma Barrett Whitehead; daughter, Karen & James Ledbetter; grandchildren, Kendra & John Owen, Kenley Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Ranger, Sophie & Julianna; Sister, UnaVee & R.L. Hicks; nephews, Mike & Tim Hicks; his precious red poodle, Bentley. Many thanks to neighbors Joe Giebudowski & Dale McNally for all their help, and also special friends & neighbors, Chris & Donna Crosby. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, March 30, 2015 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Garner officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
