Herman Costner

Herman "Tuffy" Costner age 68 of Maryville died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a Rockford native and a graduate of Young High School. He owned and operated Tuffy's Coin Laundries in Atlanta. Preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Ruby Sparks Costner and his brother, Kenneth Costner. Survivors include his sisters Dovie C. Blair of Maryville and Donna and husband, Mike Shinlever of Rockford; brothers, Gilbert Costner of Maryville and Gene Costner of Cairo, GA; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery Veterans Garden for the interment with Rev. Jerry Crye officiating and military honors.
