Herbert C. Thomas, born August 22, 1926 in Sevier Co., departed this life Monday, April 21, 2008. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Mother and Father, Nannie & Decatur Thomas; Brothers, Heiskel, Clyde, Clell, and Ralph Thomas; Sister, Lelia Allred. Survivors include: Wife, Jean Thomas; Son, Michael Thomas & wife Laura; Daughters, Connie Oxendine and Patricia Hatcher; Step Children, Robin White, Josh Cummings & wife Crystal; Nine grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Cades Cove Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim McCulla officiating.
