Herbert Green

Green, Herbert age 84 of Greenback passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Friendsville First Baptist Church, Unitia Masonic Lodge #295 in Friendsville. He retired from ALCOA after 42 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Preceded in death by: Wife, Lucille Thompson Green; Son, Larry Green; Parents, Edmond J. & Rena Green; Brothers, Horace & Hugh Green. Survivors include: Son, Billy Green of Greenback; Grandchildren, Mike & wife Shari Green & Carole & husband Rick Atkins; Great-Grandchildren, Taylor "John Deer" Green and Thomas Atkins; Special friends, Edna Ruth Murphy & her family, daughter, Wanda Holder and son, Fred Murphy, grand-daughters, Cristy West and Leah Smith. Masonic and Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Friday, February 2, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Clarence Byrd officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the entombment.
