Herbert William Franseen, age 86 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the family home. Herb was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. He was formally a member of The Salvation Army where he played the trumpet in the choir and volunteered for over 60 years. He was an animal lover. He is retired from Alcoa where he worked for over 50 years. He enjoyed building things, spending time with family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents John and Alice Franseen and wife Sharon Franseen. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Terry and Barbara Franseen of Collierville, TN; daughter and son-in-law Kelly and James Webb of Maryville; grandchildren Joshua and Amy Lawson of Knoxville, Jeané Franseen of Orlando, Florida, Julian Franseen of Thompson’s Station, TN; great-grandson Connor Lawson of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Patti Franseen of Kansas City, Missouri; many nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday December 21, 2024 at Monte Vista Baptist Church.
