Henry W. Hunt, Jr.

Henry Wadsworth Hunt, Jr., 96, of Friendsville, TN passed peacefully from this life into the eternal joy of his Lord on June 12,2012 at Asbury Place in Maryville. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Mary Hunt, son, Kenneth Carlton Hunt, wife, Elizabeth Hunt, and wife, Margaret Hunt. A beloved son, father, brother, uncle, husband, and friend, he leaves to treasure his memory wife, Norma Hunt; sister, Florence Kiester; nieces, Cathie Daetwyler, Susanne Murphy, and Karen Borowski; nephew, Charlie Kiester, and stepchildren, Ramona Akin, Joy Sutton, David Effler, and Robert Effler. A humorous raconteur and possessed of a delightfully dry wit; Henry (W4BHA) was also greatly admired by his family of Ham radio friends. Mr. Hunt was retired after many years of faithful service from the Corey Coffee Company, and, until his recent illness, loyally attended First Baptist Church of Maryville. He so lived, that when his summons came to join the innumerable caravan which moves to that mysterious realm, where each shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death, he went not, like the quarry-slave at night, scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust, approached his grave like one who wraps the drapery of his couch about him, and lies down to pleasant dreams. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
