Hemi Martin Yates, infant son of Jimmy & Terra Yates of Maryville, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his Great-Great Grandparents, Robert and Mary Irwin, Margaret Russell, Rance and Lucille Cardin; Great Grandparents, Robert Yates, James Word, J.R. and Virginia Cardin; Great-Great Uncle, Wayne Irwin; Great Uncle, Matt Cardin; Cousins, John Hatcher and Brittany Cardin; Survivors include Parents, Jimmy and Terra Yates; Big brother, Cayden Yates; Great Grandparents, Velma Yates, Verlin and Laverne Graham, Red and Louise Hatcher, and Clyde Russell; Grandparents, "Slick" Yates, Becky Yates, and Scott and Elizabeth Hatcher; Great Uncles and Aunts, Ernest and Helen Irwin, Wanda Irwin, Stanley and Phyllis Yates, Mike and Leanna Wade, Ron and Carol Word, Riley and Debbie Word, Joe and Yonna Horvath, Russ and Vicki Hatcher, Clyde and Debbie Hatcher, John and Charlotte Cardin, Brian Cardin, and Debbie Coughlin; Uncles and Aunts, Mike and Dana Stapleton, Kelly Yates and Phil Potter, Marty and Marsha Yates, Jeremy Hatcher; Many loving cousins; special friends, Jamie and Zoe Millsap, Amanda Millsap, Tracy, James, Emma and Elli Blackburn; Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2007 with Rev. James "Tater" Wells and Rev. Clayton Oneil officiating. Interment will follow at the Four Mile Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 8, 2007 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
