Helen F. Norris

Helen F. Norris, 89, of Maryville departed this life, February 19th after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born in 1922 to Hugh and Lillie Campbell. Beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother and mother in law, she lived a moral life, striving to live by God's word. The oldest of eight girls, she was raised in Hancock County, moving to Blount County as a young lady to pursue a job with Alcoa, where she met her future husband, Edward. She was actively involved in her church and choir. She was also a member of the home demonstration club, loved working in the garden, camping and spending time with family and friends. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook, working lovingly to make meals to please her family. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Williamsburg Villas (Villa Two) for the special care given. Also special thanks to Melissa, Don and Shae Kinser, loving family members who went over and above to help out during this time. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh & Lillie Campbell, Sister, June Swing, Husband, Edward Norris, Son, Ralph Norris. Survived by son and daughter in law, Larry & Melanie Norris; granddaughters, Amy and Deanna Norris; great granddaughter, Kayli McKee; sisters, Belle Keane, Joan Wolfe, Betty Humphreys, Dorothy Dalton, Anna Lea Dalton and Martha Dunaway. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Don Kinser officiating.
