Helen Etta Jones

Helen Etta Jones, age 86 of Maryville, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Rule High School. She devoted her life to raising her 4 children and was happily married to her husband for 40 years. Helen worked at Kresge and then later worked at KMart where she retired after 20 years. In her retirement years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Universal Mortgage for 14 years. She was a member of Logan’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully. Preceded in death by husband, Dwight P. Jones; parents, Hazel and Dennis Shehan; sister, Betty Boyd. Survived by son, Adrian Jones (Karen); daughters, Kim Gregory (Paul), Pamela Lequire (Chris), Christina Fox (Kaden); grandchildren, Kari Williamson, Jaimie Jones, Jonathan Jones, Monique Bright, Christopher Lequire, Ty Lequire, Austin Lequire, Lucas Gregory, and Brandon Fox; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Ellie, Silas Williamson, and Judah Jones; sister, Marie Moneymaker; brother, Tommy Shehan. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Adrian Jones officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Friday, March 24, 2023 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
