Helen E. Coker

Helen E. Coker, age 84, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Helen was born and raised in the Bluegrass Community of Knox County on February 22, 1926. She was retired from Shell Oil Company after many years of service in Knoxville, Nashville, and Atlanta, GA. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Bluegrass. Preceded in death by Parents John and Julia Coker, Sisters Bobbie Quillen and Mamie Hughes, Brothers Curtis Coker and Ralph Coker. Survivors include Sister Ruth Jenkins of Knoxville, Brother Jack Coker of Waynesville, OH; Niece and caregiver Angela Myers of Alcoa, Niece Julia Ann Mitchell of Waynesville, OH; Nephews Danny Quillen of Marietta, GA, Richard Jenkins of Summerville, NC, and Steve Jenkins of Knoxville. Several loving Grand Nieces and Nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00pm on Monday August 16, 2010 at Smith Mortuary with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev.
