Helen Graves “Nanny” Bledsoe, 81, of Alcoa passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2018. Helen was a nanny to many children over the years. Helen loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church and a member of the Blount County Sports Hall of Fame. She is preceded in death by: Parents, Lee R. “Baldy” Graves and Juanita Sloan Graves; Husband of 62 years and the love of her life, Donnie Bledsoe. Helen is survived by: Son, Steve (Kim) Bledsoe; Daughter, Ginger (Joe) Aultom; Grandchildren, Chad (Sarah) Bailey, Katie (Ryan) Ferrell, Justin (Melissa) Aultom, Carrie (Josh) Carico, and Matthew Daniel (Augusta) Aultom; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Larry (Sue) Graves; Sister, Evelyn (Mike) Carroll; Brothers-in-law, Jerry (Sheila) Bledsoe, Clayton (Meskil) Bledsoe, Gary Bledsoe, and Loren (Janet) Bledsoe; Sisters-in-law, Connie Giles, Myrna Lewis (Kenneth), Karen Gourley, Brenda Bledsoe, and Sue Bledsoe; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Alcoa First United Methodist Church. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Forest Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Harrison and Rev. Greg Long officiating.
