Helen Axley

Helen E. Axley age 94 passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville for 65 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Carrie Burns; three brothers and three sisters; husband, Vastine Axley; son-in-law, William Young. Survived by son, Thomas Axley and wife Karen; daughter, Shirley Young; grandchildren, Thomas Axley, Jr. and wife Julia, Jennifer Axley, Lisa and Jimmie Chapman, Margaret and C. R. Davis; Jane and Todd Farmer, Bart and Laura Young; ten great grandchildren; sister, Alice Purkey; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 in the Smith West Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the Interment.
