Hazel Marie Cadle Johnson age 87 formally of Maryville passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at a health care facility in Cleveland, TN. She moved into her mansion prepared by Jesus' own hands. She was born March 17, 1921 in Fonde, KY. Her father was a coal miner and her mother was a housewife. Her family moved to Sharps Chapel, TN when she was 9 years old. She worked hard on the farm and around the house. Her grandmother taught her how to make dresses out of flour sacks at an early age. Later Hazel married Rina F. Johnson, Sr. They moved to Maryville where Rina worked at Alcoa. They had 2 children, Rina Jr. and Jennifer. She loved to travel all over the United States. Hazel had a great love for sewing, cooking and working in her flower beds. She was a member of Brantleys Chapel Church in Maryville. In 1998, they moved to Cleveland, TN to live with her daughter and son-in-law. While in Cleveland, she attended Philippi Baptist Church. Hazel was a loving wife to Rina for 69 � years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rina F. Johnson, Sr.; parents, James F. & Melissa Cadle; brothers, Alfred Cadle, JC Cadle and Riley Cadle; daughter-in-law, Wanda Johnson. Survivors include son, Rina F. Johnson Jr. of Morristown; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer & Steve Weber; four grandsons, Todd, Keith, Scott Johnson and Mark Whitaker; 7 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters; sister-in-law, Edna Cadle and several nieces. Funeral service 7:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2008, Smith West Chapel with Rev. Chester Hembree and Rev. Lawrence Adams officiating. Interment 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Brantley's Chapel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons. Memorial donations may be made to Brantley's Chapel Cemetery Fund.
