Harriette Ann Proffitt

Harriette Ann Proffitt of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2014 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church. She was very involved in Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Knoxville early in her life. Preceded in death by: Husband, Dave Proffitt; Parents, James & Louise Countiss. Survivors include: Sons & Daughter-in-law, Dr. James & Dr. Wilma Proffitt and Preston Proffitt; Grandchildren, Diana Proffitt, Kate Proffitt, and Grace Proffitt; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, David & Jewell Countiss and Bill & Jody Countiss; Sister, Ginny Lou Countiss Pitts; very close friend, Lloyd Rutherford; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Monday, November 17, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Niota Cemetery, Niota, TN (McMinn County).
