Harley Huse Bible, age 96, of Maryville, died peacefully on September 9, 2012 at his home in the Lanier Community of Blount County. He was a member of Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church. Harley was born August 22, 1916, in Blount County, the second son of Alfred Lon Bible and Bertha Sparks Bible. He was preceded in death by: Parents; Wife, Mary Belle Bible; Brothers, Harrison, Loonie and Lon Jr.; granddaughter, Lori Bible Noll. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Vearl & Carol Bible of Maryville, Ronnie Bible of Maryville, Lennie Bible of Maryville, and Ondis & Irene Bible of Lebanon, TN; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Sandra & Barry Freshour of Knoxville and Kay & Larry Pender of Alcoa; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren plus two step grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren. "Papa Harley" will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved this very special and remarkable man! Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. James Wells officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
