Hamilton Carl McConnell

Hamilton Carl McConnell, born August 9, 1935, joined his Heavenly Father on Father’s Day, June 17, 2018. He was a Chief Master Sargent in the United States Air Force and was retired with 34 years of service. He served the Lord at Alcoa First Baptist Church, Dotson Memorial Baptist Church, and New Hope Baptist Church. Hamilton held the position of a 32 Degree Mason. Preceded in death by: Wife, Rose McConnell; Parents, Nellie & Gilmer McConnell of Big Stone Gap, VA; Brothers, R.C. McConnell and Garland McConnell. Survivors include: Daughters, Diane Sparks Bennett (Greg), Lisa McConnell Griffin; Son, Tony McConnell (Michelle); Grandchildren, Rancey Sparks (Mandy), Marcus Griffin (Heidi), Krista White (Phil), Leann McConnell, and Matthew McConnell; Great-Grandchildren, Jessica, Casey, Rose and Henry. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Parker officiating.
