Guenith Jeanette Correll Dixon, age 71, died peacefully at home with family on December 22, 2016. She fought a long and hard battle with cancer and other health issues. She retired from Guenith Jeanette Correll Dixon, age 71, died peacefully at home with family on December 22, 2016. She fought a long and hard battle with cancer and other health issues. She retired from Blount Memorial Hospital after 32 years. She was a member of Marble Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Husband, Robert “Slick” Dixon; Mother, Sallie (Dot) Correll; Father, Burl Correll; Sisters, Zelpha Clark & Cloteal Correll. Survivors include: Daughter, Tressia Chambers of Greenback; Sons, Richard Dixon and wife Lisa of Alcoa and Bobby Dixon of Greenback; Grandchildren, Katie Burns of Maryville, Morgan Chambers of Alcoa, and Brandon Dixon of Greenback; Great-Grandchildren, Raylee & Lyndsey Burns; Sisters, Syretha Clabo of Greenback and Ortha Dupes & husband Herbert “Hub” of Vonore; Brothers, Arthel Correll & wife Shirley of Georgia and William “Bill” Correll & wife Traci of Greenback; several nieces and nephews; Special friends, Denise “Denny” Compton, Paula Winters, and Edward “Eddie” Anderson. Celebration of Life is planned for Monday, December 26, 2016 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at Marble Hill Baptist Church.
