Grace K. Kirkland

Grace Cope Kirkland, age 91 of Maryville, born February 27, 1921 and passed away Monday, March 19, 2012. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church for 68 years serving as Sunday school teacher. Preceded in death by: Husband, Jess Willard Kirkland; Parents, Arnold & Janie Cope; Daughter, Sue Lunsford, Son, Eddie Kirkland; Brothers, Troy, Paul, Carley, and Lloyd Cope; Sister, Murtle Webb. Survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-law, Paul & Gretchen Kirkland, Harold & Janelle Kirkland, Robby & Penny Kirkland, Keith Kirkland, Cindy & Dave Fuller; Daughter, Jean Thomas; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Oscar & Bill Cope, Kenneth & Mary Cope; Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Ella Mae & Bud Dunn and Dean & Don Tipton; Special Niece, Mary Charles Green; Special friend, George Ryan. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Greg Williamson and Rev. Mike Parker officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Cades Cove Memorial Baptist Cemetery.
