Gloria L. Bernal

Bernal, Gloria Lyle age 86 made her transition on Thursday, June 5, 2008. She left behind her loving husband of 58 years, Vick; her 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Gary Nelson of Murfreesboro, TN, Vicki & Rick Law of Townsend and Suzy Iaconis of Ormond Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren, Sula Kosacky of Grimsby, Ontario, Victor Iaconis of Orlando, FL, Logan Law of Walland, Liza Law of Maryville, Fred & Ruth Nelson of Cookeville, and Kevin & Trevor Iaconis of Ormond Beach, 3 great-grandchildren, Emily & Jake Girton of Grimsby and Levi Brown of Maryville; as well as many wonderful friends and neighbors. Gloria was born in Macon, Georgia in 1922 and grew up in St. Augustine, FL with her best friend of over 80 years Ruth Erke and graduated from Art School in Key West. She was a long time local resident living in Friendsville for over 40 years then moved to Walland in 2000. Gloria was active in the Friendsville Methodist Church, served as an election official in Friendsville for many years and was very active in many civic organizations and activities over the years. She always had a kind word for all her many friends and family members. We will dearly miss her wonderful sense of humor, her loving affection and her boundless generosity. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The family & friends will assemble at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Sherwood Mausoleum for graveside service & entombment.
