Glenn “Bud” McKee, born June 5, 1945, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at his home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, papaw, Great Papaw, brother, and friend. He spent his life living and preaching the love of the Lord. He never met a stranger. He was an Army Paratrooper Veteran. He was full of love and life. He spent his time working, helping others, raising walker coon dogs, watching Nascar, and driving Ford Trucks. He will be greatly missed and was loved by so many. He is preceded in death by his father, Glen McKee; mother, Dorothy McKee; sisters, Janis McKee, Laverne Brown; brothers, Bill (Iva) McKee, Ted (Pearl) McKee, Steve McKee, Paul McKee, and Randy McKee. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Marie McKee; daughter, Glenda Akins; son, Tim (daughter, Jennifer) McKee; daughter, Michelle McKee; grandkids, Doug (Brianna) Akins, Katlyn Akins, Gage and Tripp McKee, Mason and Paisleigh Conner; great-grandkids, Lucas and Jacob Akins; sisters, (sister) Brenda McKee, Barbara (Frank) Teague, Deb (Charlie) Barnes, Bobbie Jo Denson, Anne McKee, Vicky McKee; many nieces, nephews, cousins; lots of special friends and hunting buddies; and a whole lot of friends. Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Don McGill, Rev. Tim McKee, and Pastor Billy McKee officiating. Special music by Charlie Lambert and Daniel Welch.
