Gladys Greene

Gladys Lereve Greene age 87 of Maryville died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Park West Hospital. She attended Everett Hills Baptist Church. She was born and raised in Gatlinburg, TN and attended school at Phi Beta Phi. As a young girl, she loved to dance and was a guide on hikes to travelers who visited the Great Smoky Mountains. She led hikes to Rainbow Falls, Grotto Falls, Clingman Dome and the Chimneys. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie & Hettie Watson, brother, Roger D. Watson, nephew, William Parham Jr.,bro-in-law William E. Parham and loving husband of over 50 years, Rufus Greene. Survivors include sister, Ruby E. Parham of Sevierville; sister-in-law, Delores Watson of Maryville; daughters & sons-in-law, Joyce (Joy) & Gordon C. Jones, Donna & Joe Huffstetler, Jay & Norm Jeffries all of Maryville; grandchildren, Kim & Bob (Jones) Richardson, Tina & Bill Bull, Steven & Kelly Jones and Denise Moore, Angela & Mark Mikles & Michael Huffstetler; great-grandchildren, Chad Teague & Shanda Teague, Taylor Jones, Reed Bull & Robbie Moore; great-great-grandchildren, Cainan Teague, Gage Murphy and Quentin Leath; special nephew & wife, Pat & Jean Wright of Maryville; Bob & Judy Parham, Bonita & Walter Price of Sevierville; great-nieces & nephews and special great-nieces & nephews, Tara & Randy Cooper, Sherry & Bob Nichols,Jody,Wendy and Michael Wright The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service 11:00am, Tuesday with Rev. Scott Huffstetler officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
